Stickle Seat Folding Seat on a Walking Stick, Trekking Pole or Cane

This site presents a provisional patented invention
for sale, licensing, partner or investor.
My granddaughter named it the Stickle Seat.

The movie and pictures are of a light weight "comfortable" seat that attaches to a walking stick, cane or trekking pole.

It allows one on a hike to rest anywhere and anytime they need without having to look for a bench or rock suitable to sit on.

The pictures and video are of two versions; the first one in the video is the seat attached to an aluminum collapsing trekking pole sold in most sporting outlets. The second is the same seat mounted on a wood walking stick. It can also be put on a cane. The trekking one weighs 8 oz. the wood stick one weighs 4 oz.

Both seats are adjustable for the height of individuals, and can be removed without leaving a mark. No holes are required in the host pole or stick. They can be carried separately in a back pack and easily installed when needed.

I weigh 280 lbs and they have been tested with a 350 lb person, and can hold much more. They are very strong, yet lightweight.

Stickle stick seat weighs only 4 oz.

Stickle trekking pole seat weighs 8 oz.

The Stickle seat is a fold out seat.

The one on the left in both pictures is on a wood walking stick and has held the weight of a 350 lb person.

The one on the right in both pictures is on an adjustable aluminum Trekking Pole and can hold the same weight.

They both operate the same.

The aluminum Trekking Pole is not strong enough and has a supporting piece to carry the weight

The seats are constructed of aluminum, but could be made of plastic or composites. If they are painted or colored they would be more attractive to buyers. Pink or camouflaged or black colors would look good and appeal to various buyers.

This is the seat on the Trekking Pole. The Pole is not strong enough to support ones weight, so an additional piece is added that is not needed on the wood pole version.

It is removable without harming the pole in any way. The bottom clamp is adjustable for height and opens to allow easy removable.

If one prefers it can be removed and carried in a backpack and reinstalled when needed.

The bottom rubber is not the original one with the pole as the original one was not designed for the weight of a person and the bottom of the pole pokes through the original rubber tip.

A plastic bag could be make a sanitary insert as an outdoor toilet for hiking into areas that require human waste to be carried out. It is presently a requirement in some parks, and trails.

Everyone who has tested it is surprised at how comfortable it is. When they first see the straps, they think it will be uncomfortable and are really surprised when they sit on it and see how comfortable it is.

This is the seat on a wood walking stick.

It too is easily adjustable for height and removal.

This stick is 1-3/4" diameter and the adjustable clamp has a thumb handle so no tools are required.

The clamp will reduce to fit a 3/4" cane or stick.
